Overall Responsibilities:
- Comply with organizational goals and objectives, meeting targets set out by the accountability framework.
- Become an active member of LEF's holistic client service delivery approach, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
- Provide comprehensive case management, including orientation, assessment, guidance, action planning, and referrals.
- Manage an active caseload of participants and maintain high accuracy in data collection and reporting.
- Consistently monitor and track caseload success rate to achieve individual targets and contribute to team objectives.
- Provide solution-based employment counseling and ongoing support to clients in job search, resume writing, interview preparation, career decision-making, placement and job retention.
- Facilitate workshops, develop modules, and maintain workshop rosters to address client needs.
- Conduct outreach to develop relationships with employers, generate job leads, and secure jobs for clients.
- Arrange interviews and place clients into meaningful employment opportunities and administer placement agreements with employers.
- Assess and facilitate resources to help clients overcome barriers to employment and achieve successful outcomes.
- Assess and document clients' job retention status post-employment for a one-year period.
- Support clients and employers to mediate issues to support job retention.
- Administers and monitors on-the-job training plans and conducts appropriate follow-ups and interventions with employers when needed to ensure that all expectations are met.
Qualifications/ Skills Required:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in human services or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years' direct experience in job coaching, employment counseling, or job development required.
- Proven track record in a results-driven environment with experience meeting assigned targets.
- Awareness of and proven experience assisting members of underrepresented groups facing multiple barriers to employment
- Experience in vocational counseling and managing a caseload of clients.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; bilingualism is considered an asset.
- Strong detail orientation, time management, and multitasking abilities to meet deadlines and achieve targets.
- Strong understanding of current labor market trends, Canadian workplace practices, and effective job search techniques.
- Experience assisting members of underrepresented groups facing barriers to employment.
- Experience with community outreach and relationship development with employers considered an asset.
- Experience facilitating workshops with high participant engagement and completion rates considered an asset.
- Ability to maintain sensitive information with tact, diplomacy, and high ethical standards.
- Professional and courteous approach to client service with respect for diversity.
- Excellent customer service skills and adherence to organizational service standards, policies, and values.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, Outlook 365, Teams, and SharePoint; willingness to learn new online systems and technologies.
- Good organizational skills with high accuracy in data collection.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work environments, including remote and in-person settings.
- Multicultural sensitivity and ability to work in diverse environments.
